I Can't Relate. And I'm not apologizing for it.
I Can't Relate. And I'm not apologizing for it.
I can't relate to giving up.
I can't relate to settling. To making excuses. To blaming circumstances. To watching life happen and doing nothing about it. To waking up every day with a dream and going to sleep every night having done nothing to chase it.
That's not a judgment. That's just where I stand.
When You Raise Your Standard Everything Changes
There comes a point in your life where you stop being able to relate to the version of yourself that accepted less. Where the conversations that used to feel normal start to feel small. Where the habits that everyone around you has start to feel like ceilings you refuse to live under.
That's growth. That's your standard rising.
It can feel lonely. lonely and lost are two different things.
You Don't Have to Explain Your Standard to Anyone
People will call you different. They'll say you changed. They'll say you think you're better than everyone.
You don't owe anyone an explanation for choosing to grow.
You don't have to shrink your ambition to make others comfortable. You don't have to relate to mediocrity just to fit in. You don't have to slow down because others aren't moving.
Your standard is yours. Protect it.
Find Your People
When you can't relate to the room you're in find a different room.
There are people out there who move like you. Who think like you. Who have the same fire and refuse to settle. Who wake up every day and choose discipline over comfort.
Find those people. Build with those people. Surround yourself with people who raise your standard even higher.
You don't have to relate to everyone. You just have to find your tribe.
Can't relate to quitting. Can't relate to settling. Can't relate to anything less than everything I'm capable of.
